Opening Month at CNCC

    China National Convention Center (CNCC) opened for business on the first of November 2009 with a healthy level of bookings set for 2010 and beyond.  For the first five years of operation there are a total of 366 events expected to attract over 320,000 international attendees to Beijing.
    
During the first “Opening” month more than 50 events were successfully hosted at CNCC, which included prestigious international brands such as:
    
Toyota Crown Conference with a VIP product launch with a spectacular set in the Ballroom
    
2009 Microsoft TechEd with challenging IT requirements in a variety of concurrent sessions
   
 2009 Audi Professional Twin Cup Competition Welcome Dinner
   
 Motorola Press Conference
    
Samsung Annual Meeting
   
Local glamour was on show at the 2009 Beijing Jewelry Night Gala dinner for 1,000 people.  A busy schedule of exhibitions and conferences, both government related and academic, filled the halls during the month.

 The First HK Brands Exhibition, 3,000 Visitors
   
 The 8th China International Exhibition on Housing Industry (CIEHI), 1,200 Visitors
   
The China Children and Women Industry Expo, 6,000 exhibitors and approximately 50,000 Visitors over the six days of the show.

Chinese Nuclear Society 2009 Conference, 400 Delegates
   
China Health Care Association ‘Garlic products and Health Century Project’ Conference, 5,000 Delegates

The 18th China International Medical Instrument & Equipment Exhibition & Seminar, with 200 exhibitors and approximately 10,000 Visitors over the three days of the show.
   
Reviewing the range of event types, topics and industries CEO Mr Liu Haiying said "What we are bringing to China is a completely new level of service with a venue offering completely integrated conference, banqueting and exhibition facilities – a “first” for China.  The CNCC is a venue any company can be proud to work in to promote their brand or product." Mr. Liu said.  "We hope our facilities and services will make your time in Beijing a memorable one."
    
Jenny Salsbury, Senior Director of Sales & Marketing and Pearl Zhao, Director of Exhibitions will be on the Beijing Stand D150 at EIBTM 2009 in Barcelona and will be very happy to discuss these events and how the CNCC can “make you Proud” and how Beijing can “bring you Joy”!
    
Over 23,600m2 of purpose built meeting space
  • Plenary hall to seat 6,000 delegates in theatre style
  • Ballroom to seat 3,500 for banquets
  • Auditorium to seat 350
  • A total of 72 breakout rooms ranging in size from 45m2 to 900m2
  • Six exhibition halls totaling 36,000m2 of space
    Based in Beijing and established in 1997 BNS is a state owned enterprise which, together with its subsidiaries, engages in property development, property management, property investment and retail operations in China.  The company is involved in the development of the commercial areas of the Asian Games and Olympic village in the northern part of Beijing including the Beijing International Convention Center (BICC).  Facilities in the CNCC Complex include:

  • Two hotels (420 room four star CNCC Grand Hotel and the 337 room five-star Intercontinental Hotel) connected to the Center by walkways
  • Two 14 floor commercial towers with over 70,000m2 of office space

  • Direct links to the arterial road system of the city

      BNS owns several hotels and hotel managed apartments located within 10 minutes of the CNCC with more than 3,200 hotel rooms.  There are a further 4,800 rooms within 5km of the Center.  This investment by BNS ensures the CNCC will be supported in delivering a high standard of excellence embodied in its facility, its management and its operations.  CNCC is set to start a new era of international standard venues in China.
